Important Notice to Parents about Bus Transportation

Student Transportation Services (STS), will not be prepared to give students a route card today as promised. They will need more time to review the alternate routes and ensure accuracy. Route pick-up and drop-off times will not change today and Monday. Updated routes will begin on Tuesday.
STS has committed and promised the District the route cards will be available and will be handed to all bus students on the Monday afternoon drop-off route.

Necesitamos más tiempo para revisar las rutas alternativas y asegurar la exactitud de horarios. Tiempos de las paradas de ruta no van a cambiar hoy o el lunes. Las nuevas rutas comensaran el martes por la mañana.
STS se ha cometido y prometió al distrito, que las tarjetas de ruta estarán disponibles y entregadas a todos los estudiantes del camión, el lunes por la tarde.

Bluebonnet Elementary School Traffic

After observing drop off and pick up at Bluebonnet Elementary School, we are concerned about the safety of our students in and around traffic. Thank you for joining us in making sure they are safe by following the procedures communicated by the school. The location of the building and the layout of traffic lanes contribute to delays. We have made some adjustments in an effort to make things go more smoothly today, and we will continue to make changes to procedures as necessary to keep all students safe.

Student registration for 2016-17 school year

School starts in 2 weeks!
LISD will be registering all ELEMENTARY students at the district's central administration office August 8th-12th and 15th-19th between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. There will be no registration at campuses on these dates.

In Memory of Ray Sedwick

LISD sends its deepest condolences to the family and friends of 2013 LHS graduate Ray "Ray-Ray" Sedwick who passed away this past weekend. A vigil for Ray will be held in the main gym on Friday, May 27th at 6:00 p.m. A celebration of life for Ray will be held at the Lions' Den at LHS on Monday, May 30th at 12:00 noon. Burial will immediately follow at the Lockhart City Cemetary.

LISD Phone System Messaging Server Damaged

The LISD phone system voice messaging server was damaged in the storm that passed through Lockhart in the early morning, Wednesday, May 11th. At this time, the system will not permit a caller to leave a voice message. If you are having difficulty contacting a LISD staff member, please e-mail the person you are trying to reach or call 512-398-0000.

Lockhart Junior High Region 13 Battle of the Books Champions!

Congratulations to Lockhart Junior High for winning the Region 13 Battle of the Books competition! Our team, The Literary Lions, competed in a Jeopardy style competition that covered the content of 20 award winning books. LJHS competed against over 20 central Texas middle schools, including schools from Hays CISD, Eanes ISD, Leander ISD, and Round Rock ISD. The Literary Lions are proud of defending their title and becoming back to back Region 13 champions! The Literary Lions are sponsored by Mrs. Colvin and Ms. Will.
