Principal's Message

I am honored to be the principal at Lockhart Junior High School. I am excited to be
rejoining a campus where I taught, coached, and was an assistant principal. During my
time at Lockhart Junior High, we experienced a great deal of success. My vision is that
as a campus we will demonstrate a commitment to high academic standards in an
environment where all students feel safe, and valued.

My educational journey started at Lockhart ISD.  I am proud to say that I am a graduate of Lockhart High School and was a student in Lockhart ISD grades K-12th .
 
I have 29 years of experience in education. As a teacher, I taught a variety of grade
levels and subjects. I have seen students' first years in the educational environment at an Early Childhood Center. I have taught elementary, and middle school. I also had the privilege to coach high school student-athletes. I truly believe that all of these various experiences in education have led me to this new and exciting opportunity and I cannot wait to begin!
 
I have a strong desire to ensure that Lockhart Junior High is a campus that not only
excels in educating students, but is also a campus in which students, families, and staff
feel welcome and appreciated. There is power in a positive school and home
connection. I believe EVERY student can learn and achieve success. As educators, it is
our responsibility to instill a love for learning.

I look forward to working with parents and with a supportive community to ensure that our students at LJHS have the best opportunity for success. Please join me in being Locked on Excellence for our students!
